All of the PUTTIST Games are based on the reality of Putting that "a short putt is a failed putt." PUTTIST is designed to recognize a successful putt as one that reaches the target distance or exceeds the target distance by not more than 2 feet as shown in the table below.


The actual putting distance will be displayed on the LED display and both LED lights will flash to indicate a successful, straight putt. The LED display will disappear downwards for a putt which is too short and upwards for a putt which is too long.

t,t,t Game Mode

  • The t,t,t Game is designed to improve your medium to long distance putting skills through repeated practice of ten, twenty and thirty (i.e., ttt) foot putts.
  • The t,t,t Game is selected by pressing the power/mode button one time from the "normal mode".
  • Three putting attempts are allowed for each distance. Flow chart below shows sequence if all your putts were unsuccessful.

    t,t,t Game final results and Handicap

    • Upon game completion the LED display will indicate the number of strokes for each distance.
    • First digit is for 10 feet, second digit is for 20 feet and third digit is for 30 feet.
    • If the digit displays "-" this means that all attempts failed.
    • Your handicap is the sum of the three digits, provided you had no putting failures.
    • A perfect score is 111 for a handicap of 3. The display will scroll "PUTTIST, PUTTIST, PUTTIST".

7-putt Game Modes

  • The 7-putt games are recommended for repeated practice of 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 foot putts.
  • There is one putting opportunity for each of the 7 putting distances in each 7-putt game.
  • The final result displayed will be the number of successful putts in the game.


7-Up Game (7-up)

  • Seven putting distance targets are given in ascending order (10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 feet).
  • The 7-up Game is selected by pressing the power/mode button two times from the "normal mode".
  • The image below shows that 6 out of a possible 7 putts were successful.

7-Down Game (7-dn)

  • Seven putting distance targets are given in descending order (40, 35, 30, 25, 20, 15 and 10 feet).
  • The 7-dn Game is selected by pressing the power/mode button three times from the "normal mode".
  • The image below shows that 3 out of a possible 7 putts were successful.
